Hi, I'm Seth Halsted, a Michigan-based filmmaker. For years, I've been pursuing my passion of storytelling.
Since childhood, I've been obsessed with storytelling and film. After earning a degree in Film and Media Studies, I dedicated myself to telling my own stories, capturing others' big days, and finding beauty in the little things.
To this day, I have a deep love for cinema, specifically historical-fiction and fantasy. (be sure to check out my Letterboxd. My most recent viewing experiences are pictured here:) I'm always game to talk about movies, and I'm constantly trying to find new things to check out!
When it comes to my visual style, I'm a sucker for old, lived-in glass and creating a images that take me back in time.

Camera Equipment
BlackMagic Design
I primarily use BlackMagic Design's Pocket Cinema Cameras, both the OG and 4k models. BlackMagic's color science, versatility, and customization options have made both models valuable additions to my bag.
Nikon F-Mount
My photography/videography journey began on a Nikon D5200. Since, i've upgraded bodies, but still love the look of vintage Nikon F-Mount lenses.
Editing Software
Davinci Resolve Studio
After Adobe's continuous fee increases, I made the switch to Davinci Resolve. While Premiere Pro will always feel like home to me, Davinci has been more than welcoming with it's CRAZY amount of built in features.
Dehancer Pro
There's something that has always spoken to me about true film-filmmaking. Unfortunately, genuine film is expensive. Dehancer Pro has bridged the gap.
